Counseling and Coaching by Maureen Lansat, LMHC

In addition to being the director of the Healing and Creative Arts Center, Maureen “Midge” Lansat, LMHC, offers her counseling and coaching services to individuals, families, and couples. Midge attributes her clients’ successes to her unique application of several psychological theories. Her methods assist her clients to discover the source of their issues, and she provides them numerous tools for their personal growth. She believes committed, loving relationships are the most powerful and prized of all human experiences and have potential for the deepest personal and social healing.

As Imago Theory states, relationships can be deeply therapeutic; however this will only occur when feelings and experiences are shared in an open, and non-defensive manner. Relationship therapy can provide you with a safe place to explore your feelings with your partner or loved ones.

Through a series of assessments, observational and experiential techniques, Maureen facilitates a process where clients pinpoint where they are stuck developmentally in their relationships. Her goal is to empower clients in an environment where they feel safe, encouraged, and excited to discover themselves and their partner. As a result, her clients report a feeling of increased intimacy, trust, newfound passion, and relationship satisfaction.
